EUCHARISTIC ADORATION

COME AND SEE

Mondays from 3-4 PM

     WHAT IS  EUCHARISTIC ADORATION?

If you wish to grow in your spiritual life, you must spend time with Jesus, and Eucharistic Adoration means just that. Eucharistic Adoration is the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament; Exposition is a way to honor the Holy Eucharist, by exposing It in the tabernacle to the view of those who wish to pay their devotions before It. When you come before Jesus, you may pray in several ways. You can read a spiritual book, say the Rosary, or you can just spend time with the Lord. The important thing to remember is to realize that you need time apart from Mass to experience God's personal care for you alone. You are to bring the real you with all your strengths and weaknesses before God and ask Him to heal you of your  faults and help you to use your strength for His goodness. You can begin by recalling some mystery of God's grace, either by reading Scripture, the lives of the saints, or in a spiritual book. Then spend some time meditating by applying your readings to some weakness you are experiencing in your own life or by applying this mystery to some gift of God's goodness you have seen in your own life. Then incorporate prayer into your desire for healing or acknowledgement of gifts received; this can be done with or without words. Finally, rest in the goodness of God knowing that He loves you so much to aid you in healing or shower you with his blessings, which is contemplation.
